The Backstory
Hi, I’m Erin Morgan. I spent nearly a decade working as a reporter and anchor in local TV news after majoring in journalism. I lived in several cities, met people from all walks of life, and told stories that mattered most to their communities.
That experience taught me how to take complex information and turn it into something people could understand, feel, and remember. Storytelling became second nature, and creativity was the tool I used to bring every story to life.
That passion is what inspired me to create Segmented.
If you’ve ever watched a newscast, you know the show is divided into segments. Each one has its own personality and purpose. Your brand is the same way.
After leaving the newsroom, I saw a need: people and companies with incredible ideas and a deep desire to connect with their communities, but no clear way to get there. Segmented was born from that shift: a space where storytelling meets style, and content is crafted to connect, not just perform.
Based in Charleston, SC, I blend my media background with a lifestyle lens to spotlight the energy of the city, share local stories, and be a creative partner rooted in both strategy and soul.
I saw a gap I could fill to work with brands, business owners, and creators who want to show up with intention. With a background in journalism and experience in digital strategy, I built Segmented to help them communicate clearly, show up confidently, and grow intentionally.
